How do I know which school my child should be attending?

Studentattendance zones are set by the district and can be foundhere. All elementaryand middle schools feed into the two high school campuses, Central High School or Lake View High School.Parents can also determine which school their student is eligible to attend and see available bus routes by entering their address in our Infofinder system.

What documents do I need to register my child?

Students who are new to the district, prekindergarten or kindergarten will need the following documents:

  1. Proof of residence (utility bill or lease agreement)
  2. Child's official birth certificate (Click here to order a Texas birth certificate online)
  3. Social Security card (Click here to order a replacement social security card)
  4. Updated immunization record (Click here for a list of required immunizations)
  5. Withdrawal paperwork from previous school

Students who are returning from the previous school year will need the following documents:

What bilingual education programs does San Angelo ISD offer?

San Angelo ISD offers a Transitional Bilingual/Early Exit Program for prekindergarten and kindergarten students. The purpose of this program is for students identified as English Learners to become proficient in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English through the development of literacy and academic skills in both Spanish and in English.The goal of the Transitional Bilingual/Early Exit Program is for students to utilize their primary language as a resource while acquiring full proficiency in English. Students will receive instruction in English and Spanish. Spanish language instruction will be gradually phased out with most students transitioning to English-only instruction by first grade and exiting from the Bilingual Program by third grade.

Does San Angelo ISD offer a Pre-k program?

San Angelo ISD offers both a free, eligibility-based pre-k and a limited capacity, tuition-based pre-k for students living within the San Angelo ISD attendance boundaries. The pre-kindergarten (pre-k) program is a full day for eligible children 4 years old (on or by September 1st). The program is designed to provide your child with skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. Who do I contact if my child is receiving services through Special Education, 504 or Emergent Bilingual programs and are new to the district?

Contact your students' campus counselors and share any documentation from the previous school so that your child’s services will continue.

What school supplies will my child need for school?

SAISD provides school supply lists for students based on grade level. If you need help with school supplies please contact the campus social worker, at-risk coordinator or counselor.

How do I reset a forgotten username or password for Home Access Center (HAC) for my existing student?

If you have forgotten your username or password for HAC, click here and follow the prompts on the screen. Please contact your student’s campus for additional questions about HAC access.

How do I request a transfer for my student?

The transfer application is embedded within the SAISD registration process.New to SAISD and out-of-district transfer students should complete a "New Student Registration" form. Returning students should complete a "Returning Student Verification of Enrollment" form.While completing your students enrollment form, you will find the transfer application link on the “Student” page after you have completed adding your student’s information.The link will appear under the “Enrolling School” dropdown.
