Secondary Campuses to Host Back to School Events

Back to School 2023-2024 - San Angelo Independent School District (3)

San Angelo ISD middle and high schools, including Glenn Middle School, Lincoln Middle School, Lone Star Middle School, Central High School on Oakes, Central High School, Lake View High School, PAYS and Carver Learning Center, will be holding their annual “Schedule Pick-Up and Form Verification” back to school events on the following dates and times. “Schedule Pick-Up and Form Verification” is a chance for students and parents to get their class assignments (if registered), pick up their Smart Tag ID, and tour their campus.Dates and times vary from campus to campus.Please click the link below for more information.

Free and Reduced Meal Applications

Back to School 2023-2024 - San Angelo Independent School District (6)

During the COVID-19 pandemic, San Angelo ISD provided free meals to all students, regardless of income eligibility, with support from federal funding authorized by the United States Congress. This federal funding has ended and SAISD returned to charging for lunches last school year. Through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP), families who qualify will still be eligible to receive a free or reduced lunch meal for their student during the upcoming school year by completing this short, online application. Three recipients will be randomly selected to each receive one of three baskets. Safer Schools

San Angelo ISD administrators delivered a report on School Safety addressing ways SAISD is working to make our schools safer this school year including completion of a Summer Targeted Partial Safety Audit and Exterior Door Safety Audit, collaborative Safety and Security Meetings with local law enforcement, Goodfellow representatives and community leaders, and Behavioral Threat Assessment training for administrators on all campuses. SAISD uses a uniform Standard Response Protocol (SRP) for drills and incidents to rationally organize tactics for response to weather events, fires, accidents, intruders and other threats to personal safety. SRP works with a specific vocabulary with five specific actions that can be performed during an incident: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate and Shelter.
