This means that while the third world’s challenges were tough, these challenges can be absolutely brutal. While there are some levels that are simple such as cutting out pieces to fit, these levels are now time-consuming with you figuring out what the best shape for the task is. However, these levels aren’t just building on previous levels. There are plenty of new ideas as well such as using a cannon to blow apart a jar, grabbing three pieces of floating junk to feed a cat and a dog, or stopping four cars at the correct zones simultaneously.

Just like when the game was released initially, I asked my girlfriend of several years to help me with these puzzles. This, like last time, ended in disaster. While difficult levels lead to extremely satisfying moments of triumph, some of the puzzles were brutal. In one level, we were underwater and had to find a way to climb to the top. After nearly an hour of frustration and shouting, we gave up.

Snipperclips is a co-operative puzzle game for up to four players. In the main World mode for one or two players, players control two characters named Snip and Clip, who each possess shaped bodies that can be rotated in place. When the two characters overlap each other, one player can snip the overlapped portion out of the other player, altering the shape of their body. Using this mechanic, players must come up with creative ways to solve various puzzles, each with unique objectives, such as fitting inside a shape template, carrying objects, or cutting out a pointed end in order to pop balloons.

The game some competitive game modes – such as air hockey, basketball and even a dojo mode where the first who manages to cut the other to pieces wins – but these are more of the little funny curiosity than of the game mode on which we return regularly. These modes are also much more fun when you play them three rather than two – and the frenetic action often turns into controlled chaos that is enjoyed in small doses. Offering you an ingenious way to solve its physics-based 2D puzzles and a clean, colorful style, Snipperclips: The Two Are Together makes for a satisfying single player experience that turns out to be even better with many. Solving all the puzzles won’t take you that long, but Snipperclips has some particularly well-thought-out levels that are as adorable to play as they are to watch. It made me want to collect even more frogs, put together more cat puzzles, and solve any other wacky challenges the developers at SFB Games studio might have in mind.
