Born in Bremerton to Robert M. and Margaret (Isackson) Dowell, she attended Holly Ridge School in Bremerton DOWELL and later worked for Kitsap Applied Technologies. 18, 1934 Jan. 1, 2005 Everal F. Bennett, 70, of Bremerton died of pneumonia Jan. 1 at Harrison Hospital. Born in Sunnyslope to Daniel and Florence (Pangborn) Jones, she graduated from South Kitsap High School.

She married Leland R. Bennett in East Jordan, and they divorced in 1983. She worked in civil service at Keyport from January 1977 until her retirement in January 1997 as a data management specialist. Her career garnered her numerous superior performance and commendation awards. She was affiliated with Central Valley Christian Fellowship, helping in the nursery and participating in various activities there.

She volunteered with the Tracyton Library, was a member of TOPS and loved reading, music, animals and children. Betty Leonard May 13, 1929 Jan. 6, 2005 Betty L. Leonard, 75, of Port Orchard died Thursday at Tacoma General Hospital. She was born in Thief River Falls, to George and Lorraine (Strom) Johnson.

On Sept. 1, 1959, she married Robert Leonard in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Mrs. Leonard worked as a painter at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard for more than 10 years, retiring in 1976. Previously, she had been employed as a waitress and cook at various restaurants in Port Orchard and Bremerton.
