What are the Tomb Artifacts
The Tomb Artifacts are collectible quest items that you find in several of the Tombs of the Fallen in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. They are located at the very end of the tombs, past all of the puzzles and right before you exit the tomb.
There are five artifacts in total. Each one is hidden in a separate Tomb of the Fallen. Three of them were released wit the first wave of Tombs, added to the game earlier in 2022, while the final two were added with Update 1.6.1 in September of 2022.
These Tomb Artifacts are used to open the secret door on the floor of Manius’ Sanctum. The door leads to a vast underground complex known as Eden Ring Station.
Going through all of its many puzzles, you can complete it and obtain the Blazing Sword short sword. This is an incredibly powerful and very unique weapon that would make Eivor feel truly like a god.
Where to find and how to get the five Tomb Artifacts
Before you collect the artifacts, you first need to explore Manius’s Sanctum. I have a very detailed guide linked below that will help you find and unlock it in no time. The puzzles inside aren’t too complex because this is to serve as an introduction to what’s to come – the true Tombs of the Fallen.
To be able to access and explore the Tombs of the Fallen, all you need is a character that has reached England and to have the game updated to Patch 1.6.1 or higher.
There is no combat involved inside any of the tombs, just puzzles to solve and secrets to uncover. Because of that it doesn’t matter what level or build you are using.
You would benefit from having a bow with a large quiver and the Incendiary Arrow ability will also come in handy many times.
How to access and unlock Manius’ Sanctum
Head to the western corner of Ravensthorpe’s docks and talk to the few settlers there to start the intro for the Tombs of the Fallen. The four NPCs at the docks are currently staring at a strange phenomenon – all animals are acting strangely in the area.
Manius’ Sanctum is located just south from Ravensthorpe, on the hill overlooking the settlement.
Consult my guide on how to access and explore Manius’ Sanctum in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
How to get the Boudicca Tomb Artifact
Boudicca Tomb is located in East Anglia just west from Elmenhalm.
Follow my step-by-step walkthrough that will guide and help yousolve all puzzles in the Boudicca Tomb in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The Artifact is at the very end, after the treasure chest.
How to get the Cassivellaunus Tomb Artifact
The Cassivellaunus Tomb is located in Sciropescire, directly west from Repton and between the banks of the Afon Hafren River and Trent River.
If you need help with the contents inside. I have astep-by-step guide to all puzzles in Cassivellanus Tomb! Again, you will find the Artifact at the very end, after all of the puzzles and the cinematic with the tomb’s spirit.
How to get the Venutius Tomb Artifact
The Venutius Tomb is in the northern parts of England – in Eurvicscire. It’s just north of Anlaf’s Lookout, which makes it very convenient for quick travel.
I have an in-depth guide to help youcomplete the Venutius Tomband get the rewards available inside in no time. You will be able to get the artifact after you complete all of the puzzles inside.
How to get the Verica Tomb Artifact
The entrance to Verica’s Tomb is located in the southwestern part of England, in Hamtunscire.
Look at the in-depth guide I have available to help you solve all puzzles and complete Verica’s Tomb.
How to get the Togodomnus Tomb Artifact
The entrance to Togodomnus’ Tomb is located in the most southern part of England, in Suthsexe. The tomb overlooks the sea.
If you need help with its exploration, check my Togodomnus Tomb guide to all puzzles and rewards. The artifact is in the very end, in a side-section right before the exit.
How to unlock and access Eden Ring Station
After you complete all Tombs of the Fallen and collect all five Tomb Artifacts, return to Menius’ Sanctum. As soon as you enter the big room with the door on the ground, a cinematic will play.
After the first cinematic ends, head to the obelisk that has spawned on the far side of the cave and interact with it. The round metal door will open after another short cinematic, revealing a path down to the Station.
When you get down, interact with the stone wall marked with symbols. Another cinematic will play. After it, you will be finally ready to start exploring this complex and solve its puzzles.
Eden Ring Station’s main starter area
When you get down – using the elevator or jumping through the platforms, it doesn’t matter, you can now start the puzzles one by one. There are four large doors with symbols above them ranging from one to four.
In the center of the area, on the same platform where the elevator is, you will find a lever. Pull it to spawn the first orb. These orbs will be used throughout the whole station to carry beams of light.
Place the orb onto the pedestal to start emitting light from it.
There are four large doors leading to four different areas. Above each one of the doors you will see one, two, three or four nodes where a beam of light needs to be pointed to unlock that door.
- Door to Area 1 requiring 1 light beam, is to the south
- Door to Area 2 requiring 2 light beams, is to the east
- Door to Area 3 requiring 3 light beams, is to the north
- Door to Area 4 requiring 4 light beams, is to the west.
There are three more empty pedestals in the main area of the station around the elevator. Your goal is to find orbs and bring them to these pedestals. You need four in total to unlock all four doors as the fourth one requires four beams of light.
Area Number 1 Puzzles solutions
After you have placed the first orb onto the pedestal on the platform near the elevator, it will start emitting a beam of light. Interact with the pedestal and point the light beam towards the node above the
In the beginning, you will only have one source of light. Meaning you have to start with the south door, that only has one node above it.
This will spawn a bridge. Go through it to Area 1 and its puzzle. There will be often orange beams. Try not to cross them, they are not friendly. These will be present in other areas of the station, but I will only mention them here, because they are ony a secondary challenge. The main one is solving the light beams puzzles.
When you reach this room, you will have to find a way to power up the two nodes. There are puzzles to the left (east) and right (west) from the entrance.
Left side first. Point the beam to connect with the node right in front of it, ready to unlock the door as soon as you complete the puzzle.
Hit the pads on this node to make it turn. This is also going to be a popular mechanic of turning nodes later on.
Here’s the solution so far:
Here is the complete solution as looked from the first node after the light source. The one in the distance is the final node, where the light has to reach to unlock the door.
Right side now. Nodes like this one need to be moved. Pay attention to the rails on the floor as the nodes can only move in certain space and direction.
Here is the solution to the right side puzzle:
This unlocks the big puzzle. Down there you have to point, move, arrange and direct a number of objects so that four light beams to simultaneously power up the object in the middle.
Note that you will have to move pedestals, turn some, manually point beams and also move objects. Some of the objects need to be moved more than once, first to clear up space for another object behind them, then to clear up the path for a light beam to pass through.
Here is the solution, as best as I can visualize it:
And here are views from each starter pedestal in each corner. Again, as best as I can visualize it.
After you bring all four beams to the middle, the lever will be unlocked. Go pull it and spawn the orb. This is the second orb. Carry it back to the main room and place it on the pedestal that is accessible near the entrance of Area 1.
Area Number 2 Puzzles Solutions
Back in the main room, point the now two available beams to the east door, which has two nodes above it.
For this one you have to go one section at a time. The end-goal is to activate this lever on the left and get all the way up to the top. This area ahead is very tall, with lots of vertical exploration and platforms jumping.
Point the light toi the east, to connect it with the node on the other side. This will activate the first two square platforms. Use the two platforms to move to the diagonal corner of the room.
Shoot the paddles of the node in the corner to turn the beam to face north (towards you). This will activate the next platforms to your right.
Move these two objects to that the light can pass and be reflected through to the next node.
On this one, shoot to make the beam go down and activate the next platforms. Move forward with the first platform and use the second one to get up one level higher.
In the next corner, shoot the paddles through the fence to point the beam towards south.
Go to this platform and shoot the paddles of the node below to point the beam up.
Next, make this pattern for the light beam. And go onto the left platform.
Shoot this node to turn the beam to the left.
Jump up to the higher level. The platform you are on will start moving up and the one in front of you will now also be moving up and down. Time your jump.
Up on the next level, point the node this way:
Shoot this one to point it in this direction:
Then look down and shoot the node below to point the beam up.
This will trigger the next platforms to help you continue climbing.
Put the pillar object on the platform and move it to the upper level. Shoot these two nodes to make the beam follow the path on the image below.
There’s one more node up to the left that you need to turn so the beam can reach the node that activated the next platforms.
Take the platform up and then jump through the other two on the upper level to get to the north side where there are two more nodes you need to turn.
First, turn south and point the beam towards you. Then shoot the two nodes on the green wall to the north to make the beam reflect through them and goup:
This is the final node. The lever is now unlocked. You can pick up the third orb and carry it back down (use the lever to trigger the platform to start moving down and jump on it with the orb) to the main area with the elevator.
The pedestal is to the right as you enter again the main area.
Area Number 3 Puzzles Solutions
Point the three beams of light in the main area to the nodes above the north door – door number 3.
Shoot this wooden fence and point the beam to the node behind it.
Go to that node up there and shoot the floor to break it. Point the beam of light down.
Follow the beam and find where it is blocked by another small woden wall and break this one too.
Pull the movable pedestal to point the beam to the node on the left and you are done with this segment. Time to fall down.
The next room was very hard to film and capture images in so I don’t have anything decent by at this point yu shuld be semi-pro at turning beams and moving objects.
There are two sources of light that you have to navigate to the middle where the lever with the orb spawn station is. Pick up the orb after you unlock it and bring it back to the main area. This is the fourth orb, you can now go through Door Number 4, the final door.
As you enter the main area, the pedestal is on your right.
Area Number 4 Puzzles Solutions
Point all four beams towards the nodes above Door Number 4, which is to the west.
At the end of the path, you will reach a giant open space with a large spherical area in the middle, surrounded by a field. That’s where the item you have been exploring for so long is located.
Point the beam towards the node in the middle. This is one of three nodes you have to provide light to. From here you will be moving towards the right and counter-clockwise.
Point the beam in this direction:
Then make sure the light bounces off a couple of times to reach the node behind the big sphere.
Then jump down and point the next one to reflect the beam up to the one above and finally hit the paddles of that one orb to point it to hit the big sphere. Here is the trajectory of the light beam as seen from the sphere (completed event):
Turn west to see the next two platforms starting to move and get to them.
In this western corner there is a movable pedestal you have to position correctly so the beam from the bottom left can hit it and reflect the light further.
Here is the full path of the light beam you have to set up, as seen from the big sphere (completed event).
Turn south and move towards the next and final nodes segment.
Jump down and move the heavy object to clear a path for the beam to past through to the lower node.
Shoot the lower node to point the beam to the left.
Jump below and move the heavy obelisk object to the side so the beam can be reflected through the final pedestal with an orb and turn that final pedestal to point to the big sphere’s last remaining fourth node.
Here is an overall view of the light beam’s path as seen from the sphere (completed event).
Get your reward – the Blazing Sword
You have finally solved all puzzles. Head to the middle of the area where the big sphere is now gone and you can get to the center and pull out the sword stuck in the ground.
Watch the cinematic and enjoy your brand new very powerful and cool-looking short sword!
The Blazing Sword goes very well with the Fallen Hero Armor Set, which you can get by completing the first three Tombs of the Fallen. It’s unlikely that you have missed the treasure chests and to get this sword you need to complete all other tombs anyway, so you should have the armor pieces.
The Fallen Hero Armor Set in combination with The Blazing Sword works very very nice and creates an incredibly powerful combo.
This concludes my guide on how to unlock, access and solve all Eden Ring Station puzzles to grab The Blazing Sword short sword special weapon.
